Home — Work — Liturgia da Floresta Encantada
The project
In the mirrored waters of the Amazon, the act of seeing becomes reciprocal: the forest does not merely reflect — it observes itself. Photographs, video and sound suspend the image between river and sky, between the real and its double.
The series was photographed in the flooded forests of the Brazilian Amazon, where the still water surface folds the landscape into near-perfect symmetries. Rotated a quarter turn, the reflections become Rorschach figures: faces, dancers, deities — a liturgy written by the forest itself.
The work follows Tefé — Rorschach of the Invisible Forest (2024) and now culminates in the artist’s first photo book and a full installation of photographs, video and sound.
Etnia House of Arts presents Liturgia da Floresta Encantada — Rorschach of Reflections, a solo exhibition by Peter Bracke in the Chiesetta della Misericordia, a deconsecrated church in the heart of Cannaregio, Venice.
